    Hey...

    I waited few months for my desired domain to be expired. The minute he expired he become "LOCKED". Ok, I understand that, but how long is it going to be that way? I am waiting over one month for the domain to be availble again for me to register it ;).

    Is it going to last forever ??? :(

    Have a great day!

    Guy.

    It does not say anything about "LOCKED". Is it the 0-40 days period ?

    Does it say something like...

    REGISTAR-HOLD
    REGISTAR-LOCK

    If so... just disregard the lock part; I believe that just means the domain was locked..... just pay attention to the HOLD part. ;)

    Can you copy that part of the WHOIS so I can see it all? Might be easier to tell if I can see it all..

    Part of the Whois of this domain:
    ========================
    Status: Locked

    Name Servers:
    dns1.name-services.com
    dns2.name-services.com
    dns3.name-services.com
    dns4.name-services.com
    dns5.name-services.com

    Creation date: 15 Feb 2005 23:20:16
    Expiration date: 15 Feb 2006 23:20:16
    Whois-Services:
    =======================

    Is it enough?

    Thanks...

    There is another thread here that I have posted in. You are looking at 75-80 days from the whois expiration date before the name becomes available for registration. It will never become available if someone has it back-ordered. They will have first "dibs".

    Back-order it somewhere if you really want it.

    From the looks of it the registrar is till holding onto it in hopes of the current owner renewing it (or is still in HOLD) but isn't showing that in the output.... has happened to me before with the same registrar.
