How long do updates usually take to be finalized?

I am just curious how long it usually takes for a TBPR update (export for you know who) to be totally done.

It sounds to me on the board that people are seeing TBPR changes. I have not seen any change on any of my sites except for back links. I'm seeing a lot of new back links for my new site but it's still a PR0

A lot of my smaller sites received a PR update. But my newest bigger site is still sitting at 0 :S. I hope it is not finished yet. Backlinks did update.

Don't depend on your TBPR for more accurate results...

    because some browsers errors...

toolbar would like a month at least. Well, it depends on your hosting company though (IMO)

I think it depends on how many pages in its index G has to update the more pages the longer it takes after all even machines have limitations. But I would expect it to be done by sometime next week if not sooner

I think the period of updates is lesser than two weeks, but is never predictable. Google is a developing mechanism that has to implement some innovative technologies time to time and therefore updates are made using that stuff and therefore time of updates depends on the way that stuff works. Am I wrong?

I think the TBPR changes people are interpreting as an update or push is a mixture of

June 2006 figures, still showing on many data centres

October 2006 figures which haven't yet overwritten every sever in ever data centre,

And December 2006 figures which are slowly upating , the various data centres,

Now, seeing as every time you use the web the tool bar probably links to a diferent datacentre, depending on where on the web the website is or other factors,

I think people are seeing these 3 sets,

Based on everything i've read about PR from forums an reading various google output, I think most people agree that TBPR only gets pushed update 4 times a year, how long does it take to update every server ? who knows

just my 2 cents, just guessing :)

It is good to know that others are experienceing the same thing that I am. My site (www.all-chroma.com) has emerged out of the wilderness in a matter of a couple of weeks to be positioned on the first page of Google under the "oakville painter" criteria. However my TGPR is zilch. I have worked quite diligently on improving my site and PR, that a lot of thinga spook me.

Hopefully I will see improvements in my PR soon.

I'm only concerned about my rankings right now and as far as that goes I'm quite happy.

I switched keywords I was targetting for one specific site and it was a big risk because it's one of my bigger YPN earners and it dropped in the old keyword it was ranking for (along with my earnings for those 3 days) but gained in the new more searched keyword a few days later. So whatever they're doing their updates seem to be nice and frequent.

And considering the common knowledge that TBPR is old data it means even if you show TBPR0 this week the serps will rank you by a better PR in the coming weeks.

So just keep doing what you're doing and ignore PR.
