How long do echecks take to get cleared?

Tried searching Paypal help but couldn't find any information about how long it takes for Echecks to get cleared. Its the first time for me to buy using Echeck and they already took the money off my bank account.. how long does it usually take to clear? Sorry if the question is repeated but I'm really clueless. :)

It depends. Sometimes it'll take around 3-4 business days and sometimes it'll take 8-9 business days too.

    Thanks :)

Was just checking my pp account again and there's written 'Completed' beside 'Bank account transfer'. Does this mean that the Echeck is cleared? (sorry for the dumb questions, I'm a n00b when it comes to this)

You will get notification to your registered email with paypal. Like this ' Notification of a Cleared eCheck Payment'.

Sorry to bump this thread but I have another question.

Turns out I did use an Echeck twice before (had no clue because I got what I paid for immediately)
anyways, one of them is listed as 'Cleared' instead of 'Complete' so I guess that means the money was taken off my bank account and everything is fine. Anyways, looking back at my history in Paypal, I sent an Echeck about 3 weeks ago and its still listed as 'Complete' instead of 'Cleared' even though the money was taken off my bank account almost instantly. Is it normal for Paypal not to say that payments are cleared if they're paid with both the funds in your account and bank?

I have received a few echecks for ads payments on my money making forum a few times. It takes about 7-8 days for each such check to cash and paypal to then deposit the money into my account.

if you look closer at these transactions repports, it does say when they estimate to release the payment into your pp account.

    Regards
    DL
