What is a reasonable amount of time to leave an article with an article directory before expecting a yes or no? I submitted some articles to directories before Christmas and they are still sitting there in the waiting to be edited queue. Are these directories likely to process these articles in the next month or so or should I delete them and resubmit the articles elsewhere?
Each article directory process their own time. Some article directory site takes 2-3 weeks, while some takes only 1-2 day.
Ezine Articles usually publishes my articles within four days and I just have a bog standard account. I can't really speak about other article directories, although I do know that Isnare is very slow (takes weeks to get published).
My advice in regards to article marking is to stick to the top 5 sites and then use a free service like Free Traffic System to get your links out to a wider audience. Some sites have been saying it could take them 3-4 months to process everything currently in que....which is crazy considering we all complain about Ezine taking 3 days on average to process their submissions.
I wait for 2 weeks max.. If the directory is not approving within that time, it's not worth the effort.
When you have submitted an article, the waiting time, in my experience, is one week. When you have submitted only a link in a directory, it can take months before your site is reviewed and approved of.
I'm talking about article directories. I submitted to a couple of niche directories before Christmas and they've neither accepted nor rejected.
As many other have suggested, time taken by different directories to approve a article is different. If you want fast approval, submit your article in Goarticles.com. They have a fast approval process. One of the most popular directory Ezine also approve articles in 7-10 days, but after you get considerable number of article approved and earn a platinum level, your article will get approve within 24-48 hours. I agree with Jitendraag here, however good article directories review article before that time frame and accept or decline it depending upon article quality.
