How long did it take you to reach your goal?

Just wondering, when you set out making websites, how long it took you to reach your goal?

I just started out and my goal at the moment is to earn 10 dollars a day. With 4-5 niche websites using wordpress, updated 4-5 times a week with unique content and regular link building, how long do you think it would take me to each this goal?

    Dannico,

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question. After all, how long is a piece of string?

In my experience though, with one of my sites the initial goal was 50-uniques per day. I have now achieved that after 2-3-months with minimal work. Now I am looking at setting a new goal. Just not sure what that'll be yet.

Goals change all the time. I depends on how much you set your goal also. If you set your initial goal as 'earning $1000' per month from my new blog, it can take upto a year to achieve that goal. but if you set it to 'earn my first $10', you can achieve it in 10 days ;)

All is in your hands, dude. You can't play a fortune teller and predict that. You hold the key to this answer, so it all depends on how well you will manage to run the sites.

$10 on each site a day would be brilliant but it'll take 3-6 months minimum i would think.

Its one of those questions thats very difficult to answer because the time span will vary depending on numerable factors.

    It depends on your niche.
If you have luck you can start making 10 mucks a day with AdSense right away.

Generally I would say 3-6 months.

I think you need to stop worrying about how long it will take and just focus on doing what it takes to get it done.

I don't know you so it's impossible to tell.

Making $10 daily might take some of us one minute to get there. Others it might take weeks. Some might take months or years and some will never get there.

My advice would be to just get started and stop trying to make yourself feel better by having others who don't know you give you false hope.

And what goal are you talking about? If you want to be successful, you need to have many goals. Take your $10 a day goal. There should be a $1 a day goal, a $2 a day goal and so forth. Give yourself checkpoints to hit and work on each checkpoint--not the final goal. If you've laid out a good plan, you will get there.

It takes 2 years for me to reach my goal, but after that it's not easy to keep your position steady. Work, work and work.......
