How long did it take you to reach a PR of 3?

I'd really be interested in hearing your stories of accomplishing this.

 

PR is not about time, it's everything to do with links. If you are seriously promoting the site this should easily be achieved in one toolbar update.

One pr5 link with <40 outbound links can most probably give you PR3

 

I reached pr 3 in 1 month, then google updates pr alsmost every month. So new sites which have decent links like 30-40 can get pr 3 or more.

 

The Google Toolbar PR is updated every 3 months. If you submit to directories you will get a PR3.

You forgot the sarcasm smiley.

Also, that's a "less than" (<) thingy, not "greater than" (>). The PR5 page has to have less than 40 outbound links on it, so that the PR it passes isn't too diluted.

 

My sites useually just jump direct to pr5 in there first update, becouse im a crazy a*s seo!

 

one of my site, www.thatplaysite.com , took 1 month to achieve PR4.
another site, took longer.

my point is:
more seo work, more results.
Thus, allocate more time to fine tune your projects.

 

PR results is depend on the quality of link do you have.

 

there was a time when Google used to take months to update PR...but now things have changed.. now PR are updated daily..or maybe in realtime (who knows.)

 

its about a month and i have got PR3.Not too much effort or hardwork.

I want to share something, I had website listed on million dollar homepage, I know the links from that does not count much, because it is linking out to lots of other sites as well, and the effect is diluted. But I was just able to achieve a pr 3 for my one page coming soon website. I did not have any other links.

 

It depends on how you submit to directories.

I have submitted to over 200 directories.

And most of them dont show on my backlink count.

Its better to get a link on the major directories.

 

I got pr3 in a month
it was vey easy if we work hard

 

My two sites got PR3 in two months..(i've done continuous link building)
