You rank for those terms? or some obscure permutation of them, like "affordable quality web design"

Design Agent is it possible the domain you bought had an exablished history?

I have had probelems with buying domains that someone messed with before I bought it.

I'm surprised that my site took only 1 month to get out of the sand box. But after that, I'm having a difficulty ranking my site on the top. And i'm not sure if the Panda (Google's new Algo) has something to do with this.

It wont take you any long since there is no Google sandbox to begin with. Sandbox was just a myth which never exist.

Usually 6-9 months. With the old domains, they simply do not fall into the sandbox

Just don't think much about time and also don't worry about sandbox.

Keep doing you regular work. Paste new fresh content with full of information. Google will comes there to crawl it and then you will be automatically out of sandbox.

I normally pop out after a few month. If my sites were in the sandbox and they pop out. Sometimes when I do a little bit of link building they pop back in. It can be frustrating at times.

I agree with u....but i think if u start updating ur site with unique and fresh contents then its possible to get out very soon. the main reason is to go to sandbox is to low authenticity. google dont trust new sites.so get links on authentic sites.

Some people would experience that their websites would be sandboxed for a month and some for several months to even one year, in cases of being sandboxed for a very long time it would be best to conduct an audit of your website in order to check whether you are in a "bad neighborhood" or if you are employing black hat techniques which might be the cause of your site still being sandboxed.

    - I Have so many experience on this sand box my latest were 2 sites which are both all about gadgets and cases. I think it went to sandbox for almost 3 months. I'm so frustrated that time I wanted to quit this side line but there is this miracle google updates its PR pagerank then suddenly they went back  in rank on Google serp plus those two sites obtained a PR 2 and 1. I don't know what really happened but It got out of the sand box after that we sell it and then we are able to atleast break even our expenses to those two site. whew. :)

The sandbox was only two weeks for me. Just keep building high quality backlinks and adding new content. Make sure you diversify your anchor text though. I think I might have got sandboxed because all of my anchor text was one keyword. I went back in and made some backlinks with the anchor text "click here" and other random words to make my backlinks look more natural to Google. It worked but maybe it was just coincidence! When one of my sites gets sandboxed I just move on to another one and it comes back eventually.
