    Hi,

I'm just wondering how long it took people to get a hundred visitors a day to their very first site, the one they created with no experience at all :)

I'm a year playing with the site in my spare time but I wouldn't get that a day :)

Oh my god are you serious, how in the name of all that is sanctimonious did you pull that off, you would have had no search engine traffic. Could you let us know?

Yes I think so I was posting on the hypography forum about my site which was about the Stirling engine and perpetual motion, it's a very small niche maybe thats why there wasn't a huge amount of traffic.

Ah well, I'd taught it was down to it being a new site, it would appear I just need to choose a more popular subject next time :)

It was easy for me also as I got that much in just 1 week. :)
But to make it consistent and increase you need to work harder.

when I started my first site, it was a forum, intended to start only a free file sharing site but after I saw free phpbb forum in fantastico, I just built it up.
As soon as the forum building was complete, I posted ads in a few sites which I visited regularly and I got more than 300 visitors on the same day I started advertising, with in a month my forum grew for over 4k registered members and had over 50k monthly hits

Just a tip: Its not always about the longer you wait the more traffic you get... its about the sources you are gonna get those traffic from

Wow thats amazing, it must take a lot of time to manage that, I only work on my sites in my free time maybe if I was able to put in more hours I'd be more successful like you guys.

It depends on what kind of site you are running, I can easily get 1000+ unique visitors to my site on the first day of launch.

I would say under a week for my 1st site to hit 100 visitors a day and within a month that amount had risen to about 500 it was a small gardening site as this was launched early in the summer it was easy i guess then the autumn came and the amount of visitors dropped like a brick,wo i then opened up a small toy website and that increased due to the christmas traffic and so on.Good luck with your site

Thats a good way of doing it, it's great to here how you experts do it. You just seem to have the natural ability for it. I'm thinking of taking this summer off and working on building my websites to an almost profitable business.
