I'm just wondering, I've been working hard for about a couple of weeks and still no sales. Is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong? How did you make your first sale? How long did it take? And where did you first sale come from? i.e blog,website,forum...
It depends on afew things. First what product or service are you trying to sell. Some take alot to make one sale and others are easy. Freebies that pay per sign up are easy and satellite tv dishes are hard to sell. Second traffic is the most important thing then product. Work on traffic for sites and try mutiple products. You will see sales for some and never make a sale for others. Just keep finding new products that sell and make more sites. Drop products that do not make any sales and continue with ones that do.
I made my first sale on my main website. I posted a review on the Rich Jerk. I'm going to say it took a few months since this is my very first attempt at internet marketing. I spent a long time in the dark, learning things on my own, and trial and error. Anyway it definitely depends several factors. Look at the sales page of what you're trying to promote. Is it well written, and would you have bought the same product? Whatever you're trying to sell, you need to know what you're talking about when promoting the product, so make sure you're well read on subjects related to the product. And then of course you need targeted traffic. You need to think about who specifically would be interested in the product? Do research and focus your efforts to present yourself in front of those people.
Well it's been two months and I haven't made any. Yet. I will though, and when I do, you'll be the first to know*. *You may or may not be informed at all
Since your question is in the Clickbank forum, I'm going to assume you're talking specifically about a Clickbank sale. I made my first CB sale the day after I posted a video in which I reviewed the software I was promoting and showed people how it worked. Visual stuff works great. To really be able to pre-sell the product, it's best to own it. Then, your words are from passion and experience. There is nothing that beats that.
