for some odd reasons, i see bombay hotel ads in your web hosting website, do you have bombay somewhere in your website????i am in canada.. your traffic is low which is why you are earning less..my site's alexa rank was 500k when i earned $20/month
I think the consortium of views is proper... Depends on the niche Depends on the traffic of the site Depends on the ad placement and integration I have some sites in the same genre doing 1/30th the money of similar sites which have much less traffic. To answer the question for the thread, it was one day. But the ads were put on a well established website. perdrix
With a brand new site I put up, adsense gave me 3 digits the first day, it's leveled off to high single digits a day now. If I wasn't lazy, I coud get it back up to double digits fairly easily. I had been meaning to sign up for adsense since it came out and finally got around to it last month. Wish I'd done it sooner.
I started AdSense a little over 5 months ago and at first, it took me over a month to get to the $20 mark. Currently, after about 4 months, it takes about 6-7 days... I am hoping to (obviously) continually improving on that... And to quote: "content is king" Stuart
I got $150 in my first month with about 1k visitors per day... 3 months old website ( don't own it anymore ) I think it's quite all right...
3 DIGITS ON THE FIRST DAY!! Wow! Which site is that? I can't even hit the three digits in one month! my site is http://www.financialfreedomawaits.com.
I put adsense on an established site and as many have noted, I wish I had done it sooner. I put adsense on a few subpages one evening and made about $10, it looked like it would work well so the next morning I put adsense on many of the sub pages and almost made $40 the following day. So, in my case, it took about a day. After day two I did lots of research, on DP of course, learned about ad placement / colors etc and bought a tracking program so I could analyse what worked and bumped the daily up to around $50 p/d by the end of the week. Remember this was an established site... YMMV
I started a site in june and it took about 2 months. I used to work for a medium sized alt weekly newspaper. When I put adwords on their site, It averaged $7 a day. Some days were $20 + days. I quit working there in around Feb of 2005. They got a new CMS website and haven't put adsense on it again. I have told the owner countless times to put it back on, but they still haven't done it. I guess when you are making a minimum of 20K per week (some weeks, way more... like hollidays and special events), the adsense money isn't that big a deal.
I have pages where I will absolutely not use advertising of any sort. I'm trying to sell my own product! The AdSense revenue is not worth the loss of income from the product sale. So I can understand where the newspaper is coming from. When you're doing 20k a week already, that $50 extra a week, is probably not going to break you. perdrix
It took me three months to reach $20/day on one site. However, my focus is not on adsense income - the adsense money is just a bonus.
It took about a week when I began 3 months ago - in fact it still takes 5 or 6 days. A lot depends on traffic, which for example will be slow this week from the UK perspective as it's half-term.
