How long did it take for your traffic to grow ?

After submitting to search engines, directories and adding your link to other related web sites how long did it take for you to see any real gains from your work ?

I know it's not an over night thing but I'm wondering when I'll start to see some traffic from my work.

    Thanks in advance,

I Started to get a few visitors from Google after two-three weeks once i lauched one of my site, after constant promotion it may take one month to steady increase in traffic for me. depending upon how you promote your site etc..

It took me 10 days after submission in dir and reciprocal links to get traffic..
i get some decent traffic from SE's with just 15 days of launching the website.
Its upto which keyword are you targetting and how optimize your website is.

It took me 5 months of promoting before I was able to leave my computer for a day without having to worry about the traffic. I now get about 400 visitors a day.

dont need to worry about the amount of traffic you get first, Just continue to build more good content AND get related site's inbound link. Within a week or so, you would be able to see good incoming traffic from both Search engine and links.

From what I've experienced, serp increases from inbound links take a few weeks to even months to get full benefit.

I used to be on free hosting which randomly redirect my sites visitors to their own default "404 error page" due to which i loose a good number of visitors. the day i switched to paid hosting i am happy and the traffic from search engines is increasing every other day. it took me a few months to be in a good state.

It shouldn't take more than 1-3 months. After I submitted to directories it was approximately 1 month

About a month and a half after the plugins, sites, SEO, and everything on the site are in places. Only hard the first week to set it up and after that it doesn't take that long with a few unique articles and etc.

Depends on how you launch something, but I'm pretty sure you can get traffic from Google within a few days if you use a sitemap and submit to Webmasters Tools - obviously this depends on the niche and how competitive/how much demand there is.

Yes, it will take time. There are 3 types of traffic, traffic you create, traffic you buy, and traffic you borrow. If you google your keywords for your target market, find the top 10 websites for each keywords your trying to reach, then contact them via email and ask them for advertising if they do not already have it on their website. A great way to get infront of your competitors traffic, and the best thing, it's already targeted, I do this everyday.

It really depends on the site you submit your links to, some start getting traffic within days, other may take weeks

when i am using paid traffic methods i could traffic almost right away (PPC, Solo Ads, banner ads, text ads)

when using free traffic methods it will take some time to compound (video marketing, forum marketing, article marketing)
you should give a couple of weeks to compound...you should take daily consistent action and within a month you
should see some serious traffic coming to your website.

Probably too me a month or so for my main site that I work on, just from good rankings in Google. I haven't updated in months and it still gets predicable regular traffic of between 100 - 200 unique visitors a day. I know that is not alot, but it is reasonable for the niche audience that I target.

It all depends upon your content, its publicity, backlinks etc. But every day posting can have good effect on increasing it.

hv any way to monetise your site early on? if u can, definitely use paid traffic. allow your users to
make posts which is content for your site. that way u can leverage off your visitors comments, content food.
