    what are your goals for a site under a year old? how much do you expect to make a month?

    I want to compare where I am for the month for a site around 9 months old

    Personally I think its better if you purchase domains rather than using subdomains.

    If you want to sell those sites later on you and they're all on subdomains you'll find it much more difficult to sell them off one by one.

    I had an existing site with a decent following before Adsense existed, so after I added Adsense to the site, it took me about 3 months to recoup the hosting, domain name and misc., now I am at the point where I can recoup the ante in about 1.5 months.

    My goal? To recoup it in 3 hours and then quit my job :)

    Seriously, in sixth months, I hope to be earning in one day, what it takes me a week to earn now. Not out of the question since my revenues have doubled since I began... the bad thing about forums are the CTRs, but the good thing about forums is that new member join everyday...

    My site has been up since middle of oct.

    Oct = $6
    Nov. = $50
    Dec. = $70
    Jan to date = $48.

    One thing I am noticing, is my clicks are going up steadily, I have recently been ousted from the sand box so this should also help me.

    Good idea with that subdomaining...

    What do you mean exactly, if you do not have a google site mapping. They forget to crawl your site so you get lost and logically you loose traffic so on so forth.. apocalypse

    Im sure everybody here will encourage the google site mapping :p just im a noob and i dont know why naaaa

    I intend to break the $100US mark within a month of having the new site online - and its still not ranked on any search engines or directories.... yet [when I get round to it].

    Im getting ~80 clicks per day from under 1000 impressions.
    Today so far, im at 256 impressions, and 75 clicks, generating 29% CTR. And for today, its only been ~5 or so hours since the new day.

    Earnings are averaging about $7-10US / day.

    And who do I have to thank for this? DP ofcourse :D

    A question to ppl who submit articles to article sites.

    Do you submit a whole article or just a summary with a link to your post on your site?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Infonote

    I submit to article directories, I allways do a complete article for submition, but in the recorce box that you complete you realy must sell your site, make people who have read your article want to visit you.

    So you could say Infonote has been in the It industry since he gained his BA from Harvord 15 years ago and is sharing his knoledge in a free ebook available from www.yoursite.youknowtherest.

    Just make the article relevent and intresting and people will come to your site, you should be looking to send the article to asmany sites as possible that are relevent and repeate the process at least once a week.

    Someone just gave me a negative rep rating saying my post about my new site being profitable from day 1 was "Full of BS".

    To this person, all I have to say is this. You don't know who I am, do you?

    This is the sitemeter growth chart of www.laptopgamers.com for the first 4 days of life.

    [IMG]

    The site is now making $50 per day. Not bad for less than 2 weeks old, huh? :)
