Some time it take 2 to 3 weeks (minimum) or sometime it takes 8 to 9 months. Depending upon the difficulty level.

I have some blogs/websites that took off right away, some that took months and some that never worked.
There are too many variables to predict, but mainly it is dependent on you. How much attention you pay to the blog, how good your content is, how well it is designed, and how much you know about SEO and marketing.

Most blogs don't work because of boring or bad content. Bad design. Or no web knowledge.

Most first timers don't succeed because they have unrealistic expectations, and give up.

I agree, I'm trying to stay positive by not paying too much attention to revenue and just focusing on link development/content. I'm hoping to be making some decent money within the next year or so. How long have you been making money from the web?

From the web in general? 4 years. Just a caution: A lot of things have to be right for you to make a living with just a blog. Mainly, your content needs to be compelling, and original enough to attract 10's of thousands of readers at least weekly.

Of course that depends on where you live and how much money it takes to make a living.

I definitely suggest spreading it around. A little from here, and little from there. It all adds up.
It's tough to make money off of one thing only. Even one website companies have multiple revenue streams.

It all depends how you develop your blog. Some bloggers see the results after few months.

It depends on the niche of your blog. The more exclusive the more long term profit potential.
