how long before google updates backlinks

Does Google track all backlinks and how long does it usually take before your backlinks appear under your website? Because I got some links back late last year pr5 and 6 and its been months and it still does't have a backlink when a site entry is entered.

 

im gonna guess its sometime this month, maybe a few weeks from now, who knows just be patient, im sure it'll come up

 

I would say the end of the month. Sometimes they take longer so next month would be the latest i would think.

 

Hi there, the correct place to check google recognised backlinks is by opening a google webmasters account,

There is a links tab that gives a far more detail view of the links that google has recognised for you website,

the public link command is very, very limited

Thanks centime, I have a webmasters account but rarely check it. I just had a look then and lo and behold.. links!

 

Mostly 50 days on average.

btw why you even care about Google backlinks?

 

google mostly updates the backlinks every 2 months and before the pr update
