I am starting to draft a business plan and plot some landmarks for my earnings. I am wondering how long it generally takes to start earning a decent income from your blog? I plan on working on a few different blogs at a time, so I'm hoping to learn a lot from it!
few months I would say. fill it with content, wait for PR. then you should be able to monetize it different ways.
Yeah about 6 months to a year providing you will it with content, that way it might even speed up a little but because it wont take so long for the search engines to index it and rank it up high. Its totally depend on how you promote your blog. For example,my blog take 2 month to break even the cost coz i focus 100% to the single blog and build back link for it.
It all depends on your content, if it is crap then naturally you will not make money. I would say you should be able to genrate some income after about two to three months.
If you just write blog articles everyday I can't see how you'll make any money. You have to attract traffic. To do that you should publish teaser articles with links to your blog or specific pages in your blog. For example: If you have a blog about umbrellas - write articles about umbrellas - spoof articles about celebrities using umbrellas, articles about matching umbrellas to outfits, articles which include images of umbrellas - and add a link to your blog in them. Only publish the articles on sites which share adsense and have good rankings - that way you'll make an additional income from them... How long before you start making money from your blog is a how long is a piece of string question though. If it is rubbish it will never make any money. If it is good, article writing and publishing will enhance its earnings and bring them about quicker...
It takes few months to get decent rankings and get a decent traffic but now it depends on niche + in your skills in SEO etc ...
Blogging makes enough money what i heard from so many people in here. My personal experience i have never made any money in bogging or even tried it yet.
