How long before Adsense matches my page content?

Hi,

How long does it take Google to match ads to my page content?

I've been experimenting with refreshing my page on a page with dynamic content. Sometimes it will match ads to the content on the second refresh, but at other times it just gives me ads for stuff like domain hosting (probably because my free host sticks hosting ads at the top of my pages!).

Use the Adsense Google preview tool. You can use the DP adsense tool or the one that is supported at the Google adsense website.

I have seen my sites takes up to 12 hours before the adsense really starts matching the content etc. Also, it is a big difference what shows when your editing and once the page is live on the server.

 

I try to add the adsense code after the site content is set.

 

This depends on how often google bot visits your site!

A google email to me said it can take up to a week for ads to start showing relevance.... but in my experience, it's usually fast, or 12-24 hours if there is some sort of delay.

 

It can be instant or take up to 48 hours. Search engine listings have nothing to do with it. What matters most is content.

 

I usually find it is instant. When I have added a new page, all I do is visit it, the ads are blank for around 2 seconds then they show - 100% relevant. Although adsense might guess at first using the URL then send the bot to find out what it's about.

 

Content and file names seem to have the greatest impact. I had a file named wallpaper.php, and was getting ads for the stuff you paste on your walls. Changed the file name to screensavers.php, and the ads were immediately relevant.

 

One step further, 'different' or unique content I find updates much quicker.

 

Ive found it to be instant. However, over time, I see more relevency infold with the ads.. After a few weeks..
