I have been building qite a few back links through forum posting, social bookmarking, press release and niche directories. How long and how many does it take to start getting a good volume of traffic? Thanks in advance.
in my limited experience I would say about 3-6 months from the time you start building links will you get your main placement for your primary keyphrase you are targetting
It also depends on how much content you have. That way you can target different people searching for different things.
Do a little bit each day so you can have thousands of backlinks someday. 6 months can bring traffic which will automatically promote for you. This is assuming you have good viral content,

for me it takes 4-6 months for large volume keywords but really SEO is a constant thing 365 days a year because if you dont keep maintaining you will fall in the keyword rankings.

out of all the method you are using, social bookmarking can give you instant traffic depending on how many bookmarking sites you are submitting and how many people visit them. rest of the methods are pretty much for seo purposes and you will get traffic if your sites climb up in SERP ranking due to the backlinks you are generating
