    Hi,

I've seen reports that if you were are targetting traffic from a particular country you should host your site there.

For example if i am in the France, i should host my site in France or the UK as opposed to in the USA.

Can anyone clarify if this is correct or not?

    Regards

    Fuzz

Yes, it's true that hosting in a geographical region will help your rankings in that region. However, it should be duely noted that it's not "required" to achieve 1st page and\or #1 rank, it just helps. It gets more involved too, building backlinks from a geographical area, proper cc-TLD, language used in content, etc.

    Hi

    thanks for the reply.

Thats good but a shame none the less. I get the best deals outside of my country, but inside i'm limited by offers and specs.

    thanks anyway
