Will having backlinks really help? What if I could get backlinks from 900,000 well known sites? All direct links to my site not reciprocal, think it'll help my rank high? Oh yeah and all 900,000 well known sites are completely separate sites, separate IPs, etc.

 

I didn't actuall search for it, just wrote the url in the browser

 

Inbound links are never wrong and never harm you
You should keep an eye to outbound (from your site to others) links
When you put links you vote for the other sites and say to Google they are good
If already Google banned or don't like these sites then it may think that you go out with bad "friends". It may ban or decrease your ranks or your PR but this is not for sure

Usually this happens when you break Google or any SE rules directly from your sites
All FFA sites are not good to link back for example

 

Just to combine two threads: www[dot]automatedlinks[dot]com is banned by google, anyone want to link to that site and see what happens ??
