Hi everyone, currently I'm doing link building campaign for one of my blog and I would like to know how my backlink count will be affected if I use link with or without www to link to my blog (for example in directory submission and blog commenting). And how much it will affect my PR when the google PR update takes place soon? Thanks :)

Just be consistent. If you're going to use www, then use it all the time, otherwise do not use it at all.

Agreed. Using both just splits the flow to your site since Google and the other search engine spiders will think it's two sites. Google's webmaster tools has a section where you can set which version you would prefer. You can also use your .htaccess file to set the preference. For example:

If the url of your site has www then do link building using www, otherwise without it.

Well as I have noticed, when I checked my back links, it appears split. And with the www I had more links and without it had less. So I decided to stick with www so it would be consistent. And have you checked the link counts of both?

I've checked the link counts for both and I also experience the same thing. More backlinks with www and less without www. So i decided to go with www but I realize that when I did social bookmarking for my blog by using onlywire, it appeared that my blog has been pointed without www. Is there any ways to tackle this? or is it can be fixed with wp plugin or something like that? thanks

Use your cpanel to setup a redirect. Redirect http://domain.com to http://www.domain.com

With www and non-www It is considered as two different sites or blogs and each have their backlinks separately.
