Hello all, One of my site is ranking through one keyword from no-10 to no-12 on google (fluctuating within this range) last 2 months. And the search of that keyword is more than 400000 per month (overture report). But my daily earning from adsense 1.5$ an average. How is possible??? Is this normal??? How to earn more and when??? Please help me out. Thanks and regards Wildstone
It's indeed a bit odd, but can you please tell us how many impressions you get and what is your CTR? Url could be of use, of course, but i understand you don't want to disclaim that.
maybe you rank high only in your google personalized result. your site might rank high position in your result but might not be in others. http://andybeard.eu/2007/07/google-personalized-results-ego-search-conundrum.html
Adsense placement and colour are 100% perfect. Impression avg>> 1000 and CTR>>1.05. ????? totally confused...
the site is ranking worldwide..Not any personalized result.. Not locally. its coming top 10 to 12 on GOOGLE.COM since last 2 months...
You are trying to directly relate the overture to your adsense earnings. No one can answer your question that "Is it normal?" without knowing: 1) How many "actual" searches are performed, as overture is not as reliable and have not been updated for months. 2) How many unique visitors you get for that term. 3) Pageviews and Impressions you get. 4) CTR you get. etc etc. In short, there is no direct relation between overture and adsense earnings .. a lot of factors play their role in between.
The income from adsense is related to your niche. Is it a good paying niche , does the ads appearing on your site related to your niche ?
anything on page 2 of the search results is not important the traffic and the CTR on the natural listing drop dramatically after the 3rd listing see http://kenmccarthy.blogs.com/ken_mccarthy/2006/08/search_insights.html lots of eye tracking studies have been performed on what people see when they are looking at the natural search results
there is no perfect adsense placements and colors...what might work for one site will not work for another. if you post the url ,we can offer more specific advice
If you are targeting buying traffic you can achieve insanely high CTR, I have seen higher than 100% and more than 2 clicks per unique visitor to a site. Just because you get traffic to a site doesn't mean people want to buy. Maybe you should explore different ways to monetise the traffic. At the very least capture leads, offer some private content and then try to use response rates to other offers to refine your monetization process.
It won't matter how high the search term / month count is, if the top site is getting all the click-throughs from google. I bet you're only getting a fraction of that number. It depends what niche (CPC) and how many click throughs you are getting. Its not as simple as you make out.
