the fonts make a huge difference to a sites feel and i dislike your font, i like areal and that looks good maybee try it?. also the content is to close to the sides (links) maybee make a clear line from where the nav ends and the content begins. i know its obvious because there different colours but thats my opinion
At least use dynamic sizes that obey the system metric then - so at 'small fonts/96dpi' it looks like it does now, but for those of us running large fonts/120 dpi we aren't diving for the zoom control just to make the site LEGIBLE. Because right now, the text is so small it's not even legible at default zoom on my computer.
i agree with the font sizes. too many sites are doing the really small font look but it is really not all that great because we all do not display certain resolutions on big 24 inch screens... lot of people still use 17 and 19 inchers set at various resolutions. you have to cator to the big audiance.. not just ones that can "see" the small fonts.
I am going to have to agree with deathshadow. The entire site needs to be scrapped and re-coded by hand. The load times are absolutely ridiculous... the code is bloated and text sizes make it very hard to read. The site width is too narrow. The main menu is not really a main menu, but a main menu + sub menu combined. Try organizing it less specifically for the main menu. For example... Mobile Downloads -Software -Games -Themes Windows Downloads -Photo Editing -CD/DVD Burning -System Tool & Utilities -Security & Anti-Virus CMS -Joomla Templates -Word Press Templates So on and so on. Another thing, what is with with Capitalizing some things but Not others? That may be acceptable when talking to people online or chatting in forums, but for a website which you expect people to take seriously, it is just unacceptable. Take for example: "Full Software download". Not only is the word 'download' not capitalized like the other two words before it, but that phrase doesn't even make sense. Full Software Downloads would be better, but still it sounds awkward. You should really go over this site more carefully to check for errors like this. I see grammatical errors all over the place. welcome to allucandl.com To access the files, you must register and please do not forget to verify your email. Add news after login to your account, click on add news. How to post * Choose a good title and section. * Files must have WWW.ALLUCANDL.COM text for upload. * Passwords must be www.allucandl.com * upload thumbnails on tinypic.com HTML: That is the first thing your users will see... just look at it. It is full of errors. It is fine to have the occasional error or two, but if you want to be taken seriously, you have to limit them. Not to mention it is worded terribly. You're all done, your post should appear on the site shortly. HTML: I just cleaned it up and made it more user friendly. Another thing that is bothering me... do you really expect people to view posts as PDF files?? You mine as well get rid of that and the print button since they will probably never serve any type of purpose. Oh and by the way you need a well written terms of service. You have to make sure that the software being uploaded is legally the property of whomever is uploading it. Just because software is offered as free does not mean that you can take it off one site, and throw it on your own for re-distribution. In many cases this is infringing upon the rights of the person whoever created the software. For example, I am not sure if you are offering the "Sim card recovery for windows mobile" for free, but on the developers site is priced at $69, which as you well know, is not the same as free. You really gotta watch what you are doing... I hate to be brutally honest, but I thought I would let you know my two cents.
I'd make the borders on the text fields a little bolder, I can't see them at all on my monitor ... I just clicked under the titles 'username' & 'password' hoping that there was a text box there. On a coding front your page could use a little more structure .. I don't see any use of heading tags (H1, H2) etc
The lulzy part is everyone giving design advise to a piracy site. "What do you think of the paint job on my stolen car?" "I think it would look better in blue."
nice design! but you could do a bit of work in the sidebar... i think it's looking very clumsy... maybe you should remove some of the widgets
please read the post before you reply. i was not talking about font size i was talking about the font itself.
that looks a hell of a lot better now i like the green links not blue and i see you have seperated them with a faint line.... looks good now
