How is this PR 7 possible?

    Have a look at philippinesmotivationalspeaker.com

    A guy is selling blog posts links to this site claiming its PR 7. I checked it out on two reputable Fake PR checking sites and it shows as valid.

    So what, you might say... read on

    When you check it out you find the following facts:

    According to SEOmoz tool the home page has a PageAuthority of 21 (which is very low if you don't know), a mozRank of 1.63 (super low) and DomainAuthority of 5 (5/100 which is ridiculously low). Also, it has only ONE (1) backlink associated with it.

    Also, the site was created in August 2011 - 5 months ago.

    How is it possible to have PR7 for such a pathetic site? Fake PR or what? Can anyone explain how this is being done?

    I've seen a method, not sure if it works though. You can get high PR in no time by only owning 2 sites. 1 for the PR and one for the method.

    Maybe it's a new way that is undetected?

    At some point he did have some maybe .gov links or something real powerful but his backlinks show that he has only links from himself and there is no way to sustain that pr rank like that. That site is being used for links and it is a sure waste of money to pay for links on that site. I have been doing SEO for 10 years and that is the site you stay away from, they get penalized by google easy.

    I think that its a fake PR because getting PR7 in 5 months is not possible.

    Hmmm... very interesting. It must be a new method, but nonetheless, not worth getting a backlink from it; as others have mentioned, it will most likely drop on the next PR update.

    These is clearly a fake page rank, it is not posible to ge a PR7 in 5 months.
    Stay away from these kind of sites.

    I checked with Market Samurai, They have 1,000 backlinks, including PR7 backlink from pacquiaovsmarquez2011 dot com

    A lot of times what people do is link to their own sites from their own high pr sites then they remove the links them when the site gets sold and since toolbar PR updates so infrequently that site might in fact be much lower than a PR 7 despite it's toolbar PR.
