How is this possible?

    On the right hand panel there is an adsense block but it doesnt look like any I have ever seen :confused: and the Ads by google on the bottom is missing

    Those customisation to ads are available only to premium publishers and that blog owner is a premium publisher, so he is permitted to do the customisation on fonts and colors, also permitted to remove the "Ads by Google" message.
    Premium publisher status is given to those with 20+million pageviews a month.

    I think high volume customers can get a personalised account with Google, which allows them far more customisation options.
