    Action: Thread Bumped

No hidden code just text. If you use bump edit feature edit date does not show up in foot of thread. As thread will show I edited my post due to your next comment.

Very strange as the edit date shows 'last edited in june 2011'
I still fail to understand how did he/she do it!?

(Please don't ask me to try it on my thread as for a regular member, a bump is like a "small" bottle of water in the desert LOL)

He bumped it just today and edited the date.
I will not ask you to try it yourself, but I can ask you to wait for tommrow and see if the date changes or not. It wont change till the next bump (7 days).

But at the end of post, it says Last edited on June 11. If it was edited today, it should be showing today's date.

From my observations date at bottom of post shows only if you use the edit option available withing the eight hour window.

There is a special time slot of 5 minutes for new threads editing in which it is not marked with 'last edited'. Not 8 hours of editing time slot, I am talking about the one which allows you to quickly correct mistakes without the post showing 'lasted edited' data. Whenever you edit (a spelling mistake) a post within 5 minutes of posting, there is no 'last edited' information displayed in the bottom. The same thing works for bumped threads.

    That is not correct.
for example I bumped this thread yesterday and edited it 2 hours later. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2250319
It is showing 'last edited' data for yesterday's editing. But, I also bumped and edited it 7 days earlier (I took less than 5 minutes that time) so that data is not displayed in edit history.

P.S. I edited this post several times, but when you will see edit history, only the ones which were after 5 minutes of posting are displayed.

Ok this whole thing has left me confused, I'll check the thread in question tomorrow and report back my findings :)

there is no BBcode for date. He has just bumped his thread and then edited it within 5 minutes, so edit data is not displayed.
you can try editing any of your own post within 5 minutes of posting and after 5 minutes of posting. Same thing applies to bumped threads.
