How is this possible? Internal PR4, but homepage PR1?

    I recently watched Matt Kutts video describing same situation where webmaster were getting mad with such scoring. He explained in video that PageRank for a certain high internal page based on how important page is. There are chances that homepage doesn't has a lot of value than an internal pages that is being viewed and getting incoming links from many websites/blogs. Nevertheless, the high PR page has its very high number of daily UV and it might having SERP for a certain keyword.
