How Is This Even Possible ?

So today one of my sites has had 465 visits, 1,426 pages, and 15,776 hits. I have the max number of google ads, links, and referrals on every page of my site. when I check my adsense stats it says that I have only had 402 page impressions. So if I have ads on every page, shouldn't my impressions be near or the same amount my stats for page views, and at the very least it should be the same as the number of visits I have had. Am I missing something here or am I not interpreting the data correctly? Or is there something wrong?

There is some issues on these things, like some of your users doesn't enable the javascript on their browsers and also I doubt Google detects invalid impressions from your pages.. just my thought..

Same thing on one my oldest sites. Have looked trough the logs and found that there is loads of searchspider bots that crawls my page. I found the yahoo bots most agressive on my site. Actually that site has about the same traffic as yours and allmost 50% af the traffic is bots.

Google adsense does not count those impressions like my statistics is, and that would be correct. Actually i think my statistics are worthless when its counting all that bot traffic and there is no "filter out" option.

If your using awstats, webalizer and similar stats don't listen to there numbers, they include bot visits and other crap that aren't actual real visits.

Yeah must be wrong with the stats counter program you are using. try to change that and see the results.

Thanks for all the responses everybody, that helps alot. I have been thinking of using histats.com for a while, anybody use them? Pierce thanks for listing some other options. Currently I have just been using awstats. Anybody else have a forite stat counter, preferably one that is free?

bonkerbids, this is something I've wanted to know for a LONG time. I'm using Analytics, and it will show 150 visits and 2,XXX page views per day. Yet, Adsense's counter for my most heavily visited pages will show 80 impressions for the home page, which is the #1 entrance spot by far- according to analytics.

Could be "bot" visits as well... reading your pages but not loading the ads...
