Sorry for a lame topic title, but thats the best I could do. Does anybody know why certain sites on Google have a submenu under their result? For example: search for the keyword "rentacoder" on Google and below the RAC's link, it shows a submenu like How is this done? I don't see this under every site, but only some sites. Does this has to do something with sitemaps? thx
From what I have seen, when your site gets a certain daily number of clicks at google, it considers it popular and shows the most common pages from the site as a submenu.
hmmm... or is it possible that Google give multiple result when it is not sure which page shows the most relevant information?
Lordo's theory seems to be right. I noticed that the links to that submenu point to something like this: http://www.google.com/url?q=http://...tion.asp&sa=X&oi=smap&resnum=1&ct=result&cd=1 Could &oi=smap mean Sitemap?
Hi, I have heard that in addition to hving a popular site, using the Google Sitemap may help as well. Hope that this helps.
