    Hi friends
I am a student of business laws and finance. I love these subjects and I want to start a blog on these topics. I want to explain the theories of Business law and finance to people and also tell them how these things affect them. I would love to give advice on taxation, corporate laws, investment advices, saving tips, etc. Do you think there is a market for such blog? and what if I write articles for other sites as a freelancer, is there enough job for such subject?

As far as the freelancing goes, this would probably be most relevant to a financial firm's company blog or something. If you write financial tips for the common person, and it comes across clearly, then it could be a beneficial and well-read blog. However, finance can be tricky, so you have to be a great writer.

Well, it depends on what level you want to do things. For instance, on an upper-level, "expert" would mean you have actual experience in the field either through work or extensive writing, seminars, etc.

I don't know what you mean by "student." If you have a degree in a field, that can help you get going. If you meant that you just study these things (like how I'm a "student" of Intellectual Property law), then you'll need to start lower and build your rep.

Honestly, the best move you can make is to start your own blog to show off your stuff. However, don't just throw up some junky blog. Get yourself a domain for $10 and put up a WordPress blog. Use a nice looking template that fits your "niche."

Once it's up, begin writing and do a little marketing. From here, you'll have a show piece as an example.

I don't know your goals, but keep in mind that mid-level and higher clients, blogs, whatever won't care about any work done in "SEO" writing and all that. They want to see the good stuff. Keep your blog professional and seek out solid projects to build your portfolio.

If you're getting a byline in a highly relevant publication (or on a site), don't be afraid to work for much less than you normal word if push comes to shove. Get that credit to your name.

Of course, you could forget all of this and crank out content for AdSense and affiliate programs, including your own e-products. :D

    good luck

I'm not sure. I'm always in demand of good advices for these subjects, but I will never look at the blog from some unknown individual. I enjoy reading The Economist, or Business Week, trusted names...

I agree with you..building an audience for a financial/blog website is all about trust.

You can be an "unknown" and still make money with your blog via AdSense, affiliate programs, ad sales, etc.

And for a writer, you need work samples.

If you have the knowledge - go for it. It'll come with several advantages - you'll leverage yourself as a finance specialist, and later on you'll manage to earn money from advertising and leads. It's a good niche!
