    Hello

I would like to know whether Purchasing traffic is good for promoting your site or not. I am thinking to start affiliate site. I find some sites that are offering traffic, targeted traffic etc only different rates.

Please someone tell me if these types of traffic is useful or just a waste of money?

    Any help, highly appreciated.

    Regards

Good for the short term but not for the long term. In the long term you have to build your own customer loyalty base.

If you purchase advertising on sites, be sure to research the sites credibility. Factors like domain age, page ranking, and a sites traffic are going to be important in deciding which sites to advertise on.

A lot of people will tell you to work organically instead of taking short cuts and buying links though.

Offers like "10.000" visitors for $10 are mostly from PTC programs and they are not effective, imo

Of course it is useful. Just how do you think webmasters get tens of thousands of hits, and more, to their sites?

Advertising, "buying traffic," is the only way to get a lot of traffic. But it can be expensive. Expect to pay at least 5 cents and up for each click. Impressions are not cheap either. But it is worth it! Just ask the webmasters of bullz-eye.com, as an example.

There are many reputable ad networks out there.

    Exactly. And from crooks, basically.

mostly bots or junk traffic. if it is real traffic you will find that you have a RIDICULOUSLY LOW conversion rate.

For me, it depends. It may help you in some ways but I totally trust natural traffic. You can generate this by promoting your site by posting contents inline with your topic.

Buying traffic is not going to get you any sales.

Search engines such as GOOGLE are smart enough to know the difference from fake (robot) traffic and real traffic.

You can have 10 million bot traffic to your site, but if no one buys what is the point?

What you want to do is use a proven system such as Google AdWords and promote the site through your own advertising.

It always depends on 1) who you buy from 2) where the traffic coms from

Are you talking about purchasing traffic from auto generate websites? That's sucks a lot. I would be surprised if you can make even a single sale with that. If you are talking about purchasing traffic from PPC programs, etc., yes they work. But you need time to study it though. I was like having trial and error for 2-3 months before even reach break even point.

Some work, but be very Careful, I just spent a lot with a few who made huge promises and delivered nothing. I mean they did deliver impressions and clicks but the bounce rate was huge.

If you want to buy traffic, than buy traffic that is targeted and will bring you results. IMO Google Adwords is one of the best. When I want to test out conversion rates of some new affiliate program I enroll in, I use Adwords. If you are new to PPC marketing, it may be difficult to you to maintain cost/earnings ratio, but this type of traffic is definately worth every cent.

Buying traffic from PTC websites or GPTRE is a waste of money IMHO.

Agreed, PPC is the only solid way to buy targeted traffic. Bot traffic is basically useless and the sites that claim to sell "targeted traffic" for a premium are just scammers.
