How is Pagerank measured

Is the PageRank for the weight calculation taken from the random page that is checked for validation or from the index page specified in the options.

I just added a site thats index page is 0 but all the internal pages are PR4's (and PR3's). How would that be judged?

    Thanks

A pages PR is judged from the links comming to that page.

Good question, just how much does PR count to the weight?

Say with all things being equal if my site at the moment was a PR1 and has 500 pages indexed from google and currently has a weight of 3000, then at next PR update if the number of pages remain unchanged (ie.500) and the PR jumps to 5 what impact would that have on weight? 5x3000= 15000?

Sorry not meaning to hijack your thread yfs1 just thought the questions are related.

Darksat; check the forum the question is asked in. It's related to the coop network!

I think it's the base URL you specify that provides your account with the PR.
