    I think your inner page get PR4 because it has lots of text content than the home page.

    Might be your inner pages are having more backlinks or may be possible from good pr page.... give link to your home page with proper anchor text on each page..... Hope this will help you

    PR is nothing to do with content. It's about the quality of backlinks you have. If someone linking to you with higher PR the chances are you will have high PR as well. ;)

    If you put a whole list of links of your internal pages on the home page. Internal pages will get some PR this way, but Home page will lose it a little, which is not good. To avoid this, you can create a link called Sitemap or so which opens a new page - and there you can put the list of links of your inner pages.
