How is the hosting reseller business?

I see here that some people are offering Hosting Reseller account for like: $10 a year.

I wonder how much they pay for it, to sale like this.

    Any insight?

It depends on who they're with.. but I'm pretty sure you can get a dedicated server for between $150 - $200+ a month.

$10 may sound cheap but it depends on how much space they're giving along with how many clients/sales they make. It can be a profitable market if you can do this right.

$10 is not bad, but then expect lot of load on your server, its better to serve to limited clients and provide best service rather then making 100 clients of $10

    make 20 clients of $50 a yr.

YEah; especially since there are people like me who only want hosting straight from the big boys. I personally never want hosting without anyone who is not located at the actual data center. They just have access to things when problems arise. But, thats just my view.

it all depend of what you are targeting.

I have a good success with the local market but few customers over the Internet.

Local market is a good way to start.
