How is google wave useful?

Ok, I got an invite to google wave. i tried it out, but it seemed like I was the only person on it, how can I send people "waves", and what are "waves" usefull for

Well, when you first get an invite and use wave it will seem like that.

You need to start getting involved in public waves. I've answered this question on my forum. Goolge Wave: With Public.

Once you do the above, you should start inviting your friends, if they don't have an invite yet, I am sure they will be more than grateful!

 

Definitely agree with ShadyStudent: Invite your friends and try it out with them.

G Wave is insane, especially if you can use it to the full potential.

Try the translation feature and watch others from around the world type in your language (although they are writing in theirs)... Insane!

They actually tried to put all their services into one, but I don't think it's as good as I imagined.
If none of my friends or colleagues use it, it's pointless for me...

 

I guess its still in the propogation stage, developing too much of products without marketing them will make google itself to make a big Directory one day

 

I think Google Wave was one of the biggest Flop Show of Google. SO much Hype but delivered nothing

 

I got it still, the thing is, you need to have other friends with Google Wave for it to be any fun.

I think that Facebook killed Google Wave, 500M users use facebook and how much WAVE users do they have 1M or maybe 5M?, forget it ! Dumbest thing google ever made!
