what would you say about celebrity and hollywood niche for adsense CPC

im getting some decent traffic on a new celebrity fashion blog I started. Still working on it.

Type in some keywords and see what bids you get.

 

I have a site about celebrities with BlackBerrys and I have to admit that the traffic is pretty good for a site that I don't update on a regular basis. The traffic, however, doesn't convert all that well but that may because I don't have ads optimized or placed all that well.

 

Whenever I use that tool, it never gives me any results for the Est. CPC or Ad Position...

Same here but it's a good tool for Keyword research and I can download the KW in txt or csv file. Handy!

 

It works for me, you need to select Cost and Ad Position form the drop down menu.

Make sure you enter a dollar value. I just use 99.

It works for me with celeb names just fine.

 

Pros and cons for a celebrity website:

Pro: Easy to get traffic. People love celebrities. And content is relatively easy to find. If you work at it hard enough, add enough posts per day for a long period, you could be doing blockbuster numbers in a reasonably short time.

Con: The rates are abysmal. 1-cent clicks are a reality. So you'll need a ton of traffic just to convert on all those 1-cent clicks.

Conclusion: If you got the time to put into it, yeah, a celebrity site ain't a bad way to make money.

Alternative: Build up the traffic and user base and then expand into affiliates, selling product links on the site. Add a CPM ad network to take advantage of the impressions. Do it right, sell the right stuff to the right people, and you can make good money.

 

if you are not using adult pictures or any other adult content on your site, it will not be problem. if you have hits, you can earn good money from your celeb. site

well my niche is also this its very low $0.03 per click but its compensated by high traffic on blog

 

I would say it's a niche like the others.
Nothing special. Clicks around 1-10 cent
