How important to PR and ranking

    actually..how . PR can effect the ranking... I see some of the site...have high PR but is not ranking in first 5 on some niche in google...

    high PR doesnt necessarily mean high traffic..alexa ranking if you are talking about..

    many expired domains retain their previous PR...high alexa rank comes from constant large volumes of traffic..

    PR not equal to SERP. You need to be clear on this. So now, if you have high PR + combination of good SERP, then you are king of your niches.

    Frankly PR has very little to Ranking. Ranking happens from on the page optimization and off the page optimization. One of the factor that can impact your ranking is getting links from quality website. When you get link from quality website it can boost your PR, but that PR boost has nothing to do with your Ranking. I've seen hundreds website no PR but High PageRank. Anyways in today's SEO PR is over valued.

    I am talking about the ranking on google....
    for example u search car on google
    the result will be

    1) .car.org/ (PR 6)
    2)cars.com (PR 8)
    3) car.com (PR6)
    4) edmunds.com (PR8)

    Hi,

    PR is not an important factor in ranking.

    If a site has more PR it doesn't mean it have good rankings.

    It all depends upon your content, keywords and back links.

    If your site has original content and updated timely, you will get better rank in major search engines.

    PR is more on having good backlinks, having a high PR linking to you helps your site to get noticed easily by SE's, it helps in some way but not that much.

    PR and RAnking/traffic ae 2 difrent things

    PR is just a number don't bother with it

    Concentrate on rankings and a good backlink campaign
