I have been working on off page marketing but till now my websites haven't got any PR. I wanted to know that if only off page marketing is enough to get some page rank to your site? Please suggest me.
Off page SEO is very important for PR. for having a good page rank you need to have quality back links to your site. you can collect links through articles, blog posts, forum posing, do follow blog comments, directory submissions etc.
Basically off page optimization is the phase where you can create more backlinks as you can can through different linkbuilding strategies like directory submissions, social bookmarking, integrating with web 2.0 strategy, blog commenting, yahoo answers and aolanswers and more.
Make sure that you have done your all off page work is related to your niche. Submitting your site into related category and having high pr will increase your pr too. Otherwise your off page factor will be waste. So that i recommend you to get quality not quantity of backlinks.
Pagerank is based on off page factors, not on page factors. So in other words, it's the only way to get pagerank. If what you are doing isn't working, you may consider changing the types of links you are going for. Google does not count every link. The majority of link building methods people use have very little effect on pagerank. Here's how to tell if your link building method will build your pagerank - if it's really easy (i.e. anybody with a spammy website could do it), it won't do much for your pagerank. If it seems really hard to accomplish, it probably will help your pagerank.
I think Getting back links is the only way to increase the page rank.you can get back link through link building strategies,Social Book marketing,blog commenting,forum,s posting ....etc
