Hi guys. I have a question about anchor text. Its very confusing, so bear with me! I have 2 questions: 1. Say I am trying to rank for "Blue Widgets". Would I still rank as well for the terms "Blue Widgets" if my anchor text was "Blue Widgets - Blue Widgets Information" instead of just "Blue Widgets"? 2. Say I am trying to hit two birds with one stone, and try to rank for both "Blue Widgets" and "Blue Widgets Information", should I make sure all incoming links have the anchor text "Blue Widgets: Blue Widgets Information" or have a variety of "Blue Widgets" and "Blue Widgets Information"? Thanks for your advice guys!
Well you can use that also, but the link with less no. of keywords is more favoured, but still it can be usefull for you because it contains your most important keywords "blue widgets" two times. But remeber that the quality of the links is what that matters.
The best to keep in mind is that your anchor text is related to what you are trying to promote. For example, if you are promoting a site about Blue Widgets and your anchor text says free money, Google may invalidate this link. As long as it is related to what your site is about, you can use either of your examples.
I would say Blue Widgets Information Because, you have already covered both keywords in this key phrase like: Blue Widgets Information Blue Widgets Information - Blue Widgets (Keyword 1) Blue Widgets Information (Keyword 2) Promote just Blue Widgets Information into your SEO and you will see better results for both keywords
i agree with the rock. Blue Widgets Information will give u better rankings because it covered both your targeted KW's.
Yes, The Rock is right... It covers the keywords "blue widgets" and "blue widgets information" with just using one keyword which is "blue widget information"... maybe you can also check out the searches per month with regards to using that keyword...
Rock is right. if you mention blue widgets information both keyword included in one key phrase and this will help.
It's better to use different variation of keywords. "Blue Widgets Information" can give you rank in "blue widgets" / "Blue Widgets Information" or "widgets information" and etc.
The question is how many "Blue Widgets" links you would need to rank #1. After you found out, you produce that many exact "Blue Widgets" backlinks. Additional to that number of backlinks you must make it look natural. You add more backlinks but different variations of the anchor text. Gunter
LSI is getting more and more important not only in article content, but also anchor text on back link as well. Instead of having 100 links of blue widgets information, use variants like: blue widgets guide blue widget(s) facts blue widgets info It is definitely going to help. Given the same amount and quality of backlinks (say 100 links from highly related sites), the use of different variants that share the same theme will allow you have better SERP. Just my 2 cents.
I think this title looks redundant. The keywords are repeated twice. It's not good to see a title with redundant keywords. Just insert your other targeted keywords in your title.
Basically it is a redundant but we also know that a singular keyword/keyword phrase has different search results than of plural. For example "diamond" and "diamonds" have different search result just like also in "Blue Widgets | Blue Widgets Informations".
Better if he would just use this "Blue Widgets Informations" as title because this title could give value to both of his targeted keywords. And he can improved his targeted keywords by using it as his anchor text.
