I don't believe money itself is evil, I think the love of money is the root of all evil (ei: greed, wars over capitalism, etc). It is necessary but in small reasonable amounts and if you have money you are able to help yourself and others who need it. If you don't have it you are part of those who need to be helped and are also generally consumed by thoughts and worries about it. I want to make enough money to be able to support myself, my family and help friends in need but I don't want to make any more than that in case it were to take over and turn me into something I don't want to be.
Not important, but I need it to survive, so I try to save every last bit. Sometimes I have to do unethical things such as black hat to gain money and I feel bad about it, but as I said, I need it to live and you do what you have to do to stay alive. If I were asked for a million dollars in exchange for my family, friends, etc, I wouldn't give them up nor would I give up my important traits such as love and heartfelt feelings. I value things such as friendship far more than money by a longshot.
Not true. Humans lived for thousands of years on this planet without money. People say we need money but that is not true. What we need is a planet that is clean enough to eat and drink from. That's all we really need.
Ahh yess money!! Like you, i do feel that having enough money to live very comfortably will free up a lot of valuable time, where i could be doing so much more than wasting 8 hrs a day working... Money would solve pretty much all my problems at the moment!!! Yes it can't buy TRUE love and a TRUE happy relationship... BUT it can contribute to it... it can contribute to a happy healthy family, you just have to know how not to abuse it and be wasteful or destructive w/ ur $$. It all depends on what you want your $$ to do for you... whatever is going to make YOU happy.
Our family is important in itself sufficient to sustain a comfortable life. A nice house, nice cars, nice clothes and the chance to go to the movies, eat and enjoy life. There are many things we want to do or buy, but until we have the essential and good health, we are happy.
I disagree. Think back, when we used to live in hunting and gathering societies. Our societies consisted of groups of hunters and gatherers in which we had one purpose. To find food and survive. There was no inequality or trade system nor was there a division of labor. There was no work for pay as everyone worked together. This society had no currency and was still quite functional. Actually, this society was far better than the society we live in today or any society horticultural and up because there were no wars, etc. Now, our societies consist of inequality and some people gain amounts of money that exceed mount Everest as opposed to the incomes of most people in the U.S. The money is the root of the inequality because some people gain more than other people causing greed and hatred. Unfortunately, there is no way to turn back and simply remove the currency system for obvious reasons. However, if we never developed this system, there would've been no inequality besides other people gaining more physical goods such as food, furniture, electronics, etc.
money can change all the atmosphere, there's no confusion if there is no money. money as a tool for living, but money does not make us live forever.
