how important is it for my site to have a site map

    hi, i have set up a nnew site but dont have a site map, how important is it and should i pay the guy who made the site to make one for the site

    its very important to submit your sitemap via google webmasters tools . so google can download your sitemap , store your web links and send google BOT to crawl your page .

    there is plenty of online sitemap creator, use one of them and create google sitemap . submit it via google webmasters tools .

    this is as a GPS - you give web spiders street directory of your site ... a must if you wish to get indexed.

    A sitemap will be very handy for your website. It will help search engines to get the the page updates quickly. For a successful indexing of websites, both html and xml sitemap will be mandatory. Try to use online sitemap generator.

    Depends upon the number of pages you have on your site, and how well they are interconnected.

    If you have less than 100 well-connected pages, you don't really need sitemap for a search engine. For visitors perhaps.

    It is important only if you want to ensure all the pages in your website gets indexed by search engines. You should pay the guy if you want him to do work for you, just cos he built your website has he optimised your website design for search engines?

    it is quite necessary to have a sitemap but there are many online sitemap generators to create them. if you are asking someone to do it then you must pay him

    If you pay good attention to your site navigation. then sitemap is not necessary but Sitemap is a additional tool for search engine to crawl the website. so we should create sitemap and submit it in major search engine.
