For example say I found a niche, Applesauce reviews. AppleSauceReviews.com is my main page. How important to the long term success of my website, is getting all of the related domains if many are available. appleSauceReview.com applesaucereviews.net applesaucereview.net applesaucereviews.org applesaucereview.org etc? Will this be useful in SEO? Is this a good strategy to conquer the niche and help keep others out? Or is domain not very important in natural SERP?
Well it helps to stop someone grabbing the same name of your .com Now I wonder if you'll see those names taken after given up your new found niche
Having a few spelling combos is good for preventing user error. As far as dominating the niche you'll have to buy up a whole lot of names before you can even come close to that. There's no reason SEO wise unless you intend to create seperate sites about the niche.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!! I've leaked the applesauce niche, all those applesauce affiliate checks are gone now!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So any one else have any insight? How much does domain name relevance effect search engine result?
May not help with serp's. If I could, I would grab the singular and pleural in the dot com. Don't think I would spend the money to try and lock down all the extensions unless I had a b***buster of a concept.
