Hello All Dp members, I have just tried out this for me and found this awefull result in msn.... http://search.msn.co.in/results.aspx?q=link+building+service&geovar=1761&FORM=REDIR In Yahoo... http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=linkbuildingservice&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-500&x=wrt The site is a few month old only.... So from this we can conclude that...for search engine like yahoo and msn domain name has got a key factor for optimizing the site...... And in case of google...No such things work until you have gained that much potential to be in the top...so google is the great..... Looking forward to your valuable comment on this topic. Warm regards to all of you. Aniruddha
it has certian meaning if you are seoing for MSN. For yahoo and google it is also good to have the keywords in domain name but it´s not that important. For all of them the whole url is much more important than the domain name itself.
Those searches are completely different. MSN you have spaces inbetween the words and Yahoo! you don't have any spaces. That messes with the search query. Though I agree in Y!/MSN, having a good keyword rich domain helps a little, but you should provide a better example, or at least one that is more consistant then the other.
Voasi... I disagree you...the search terms that i have used are keywords...and i think it is a great job to get the top rank within three month of it's launch ... Though in case of google it needs more time..but i think when it will get it's potentiality to be near the top then it will obviously get a extra advantage..to get the top rank.. So looking forward to your comment on this... Warm regards. Aniruddha
Sorry, Ashwini, but Voasi is right. Once again check your site for those keywords in YAHOO (do not submit the domain but space separated word like link building service. You won´t find it within first 10 SERPs, which doesn´t mean you are on wrong track. Not at all, keep on trying and you´ll succeed. In fact I have never had a site ranking really good in YAHOO. I was always satisfied with Google as I am not from US, now - day by day - I feel I was not consistent enough.
msn totally eats spam.. i bet if i put up a random site at www.keyword-keyword-keyword.com and pointed a sig link to it with those exact keywords it would get top 10 within a month.
You can easily rank top on MSN if you have your keywords in the title and the domain name. MSN is hungry for new sites and new content. A site with frequent changes/updates will rank high on MSN.
hello india, you are absolute ly right with msn.But in case of google i think the domain name has got a key factor also.Cause the time your site will get the potentiality to rank in the top chart then it will obviously have a advantage then other competitor if it's keyword and domain name got matched. Looking forward to your reply on this topic. Warm regards. Ashwini
Yes keywords in domain do help in Google as well but it does not effect as much as it does on MSN. Google is the smartest engine there. You cannot expect a new site to rank high on Google...infact Google is indexing new sites quite late nowadays. To rank high in Google you need good high quality relevant backlinks.
ya that is true.after uploading my site my 10 pages indexed in msn within 15days but still in google only one page is indexed.i got good rank in msn and yahoo easily but still waiting for google
yup my newest site is ranking top 10 for my main keyword phrase in yahoo and msn within a month.. 1 cached page so far in google.
in google it helps little , but for msn it suff, example to take celeb name and book .name domain, later u some content like daily 1 post any post and u can see your site will be top always.
