What are your actual experiences with the search engines liking unique descriptions in directory listings? I would like to hear from site owners and directory owners. I often see advice to vary your description and title anchor. How much benefit would a site reap if every directory listing they have is unique? Does Google give more authority weight to a directory that has all unique listings, like BotW?

Unique description is the way to go if you want to improve your serps. Most of the time Google will find where the description was found first and credit that description to that given site. This site will have more "authority" and appear above the sites that "copied" the same description. But you know pr will override some assumptions.

do you know about duplicate content? it's same like that... maybe google stay put content is the king
