Hey everyone, I just wanted to post a little Adsense "success" story to help keep you motivated. I've had a lot of success searching on auction sites like Flippa, looking for Adsense sites that have big potential for increased earnings. I particularly look for those that are getting consistent traffic and earning some revenue (doesn't have to be earning much). Once I've found a site that meets my criteria, I work on increasing it's traffic by adding content and building links, and optimizing the site layout, navigation etc. (I can now get an average CTR of betwen 10-40%, all withing the Adsense TOS). Yes it's that simple! So back to my biggest success with this method so far... I found this little gem last September that was earning about $30/month in Adsense revenue. It averaged about $1.50 per click, so I knew that if I increase the sites traffic it would do well. For those of you who are not familiar, The formula for Adsense earnings is as follows: traffic x conversions (CTR) x payout (EPC) = earnings So in this case, since I had no control over the EPC (earnings per click) in order to earn more money with this site I would have to increase traffic and/or increase the CTR (click through rate). I decided to do both. first I was able to double the CTR by changing it to a particular theme. Second, I was able to increase it's traffic by adding content 3 times a week, and building links. I began working on this site in May when it was averaging about $2/day. At that time, it was ranking at the #9 position for it's main keyword phrase. I managed to achieve the #1 spot for it's main keyword by July, it was earning and average of about $50/day (see image). I then decided to list the site on Flippa, and it sold for a BIN price of $21k. So here is what you need to keep in mind to stay motivated with Adsense... 1 - There is plenty of money to be made with Adsense 2 - There are hundreds of thousands of keywords that have a very high EPC, but little competition. 3 - You can't expect to earn large amounts of money with Adsense by throwing adblocks up on just any old site. You have to build the site with adsense as the only form of monetization in mind, only after carefully researching a niche and it's keywords. 4 - Most people think that Adsense sites have to be "product-centric" in order to get high CPC's and a high CTR. In reality, those that are "info-centric" can be much more lucrative. I made this post in hopes that it would teach a few people something new, and help motivate you with Adsense. I know that a lot of people get discouraged when they see consistent clicks for 5 or 10 cents! Best, Adam P.S. - I'd love to help anyone out, just shoot me a PM!
Thank you Project Mobius, soul_of_god and Laceygirl for adding such helpful insight to my post (which is not intended to be any sort of sales pitch).
It looks like a pitch to me. The link in your signature is the icing on the cake. Why didn't you just let the signature speak for itself & not make a post...
You wrote so much but did not tell how really you achieved that goal. The things backlinks, traffic etc are known to everyone.
For those interested in turning $21,000 to $250 in a few minutes, PM me! Don't you think you'd be better off further turning that $21,000 to $ 1,764,000 going by that multiplier?
lolz awesome post...u turn 21k to 250 ..very gud.. ok im doing adding some more powerful comment => a single click can earn you anywhere between 0,01$ and 3,50$, or even more! It depends on your topic, your niche, your visitors, your layout, your target-geography, your ad-placement, your tuning, ... On average, you earn about 0,50$ to 1,00$ per 100 unique visitors per day.
never mind other holes in your story, the average income is 50 bucks a day, so say a month is at most 1.5 k, now you selling the site for 21k, close to 15 times its monthly earning. good luck with that .... dear
I think this is more of a flipping method than Adsense. I mean you're making $21K from selling your site, not from Adsense. Just my thought.
