How i transfer domain name into other web hosting company?

Im now facing problem that cannot transfer domain name from IPOWERweb into other web hosting company, can anyone help me solve this problem?

Your domain shouldnt be with a web hosting company. It should be with a domain registar.
Most companies will tie your domain to them and it can be difficult if not impossible to move it.

 

Change your Name Servers to point to the new web hosting company.. Or just do DNS modification on your registrar control panel (If they offer this service)

I have a similar issue with Hostican.com. They offered a free domain with Hosting, under Tera Plan with Unmetered Bandwidth. Recently their service have become very, very poor and lot of websites are being pulled down for CPU Overload (when in fact the log shows a query running for 1 second). Today they have restricted my bandwidth too by displaying only 1 minute of the videos in my website. Very, Very Unfair when they promised, unmetered bandwidth. Lot of webmasters are facing issue with them. Infact some have gone to the extent of creating certain funny blogs of how Hostican sucks. Lots of funny pictures at the blog. An example:

Now i want to transfer my domain to Hostgator. The Hostican support has send me a areply as follows:

We will able to provide you with EPP key for domain transferring after account cancellation only, because its promotion domain that comes for free along with account.

If I cancel my account without transferring my domain to Hostgator, will my website be down??? They give full control of Domain control panel only after cancelling my account. Hostgator has promised to transfer all files for me. What should I do. Please help me.

do u have the domain transfer code?

is the administrative email address for the domain urs?

 

Also make sure that your domain is not locked. You can unlock /loch the domain name by selgf in current domain control panel.

 

if all the above don't work then send a mail to IPOWERweb, asking to change the name servers the domain points to or to ask that you want it transfered.
