Most hosting companies use c-panel. Log into your hosting account, scroll down your page for domains section. Look specifically for redirects and click on it. First you enter the domain you want to redirect and then just fill in the link you want it to be redirected to. You just need to ensure the default on the drop down states 301 redirect and not a 302.

Hit enter and your done. If you still need the visual, look up the term "how to do a 301 redirect" or 301 redirects in youtube and you can watch someone take you through the process step by step.

I use hostgator and they have a video section for all kinds of how to stuff and 1 of the video's is a 301 redirect. Check your back office first.

It takes some time for Google to reindex, sometimes it might take weeks. Be patient, with the 301 redirect your new domain will eventually be indexed and will start appearing instead of the old one.

    Grazy..
I like to add a little. Go to 'about.com' and do a search, you will get how to do 301 redirect or search on youtube. You will get fancy video tutorials.

Create an htaccess file and put it at the root of your old domain

Content of the htaccess file :
    Redirect 301 / http:// www. newdomain. com/

(of course you should input the newdomain url without spaces)
