To increase your earning I would advice you to use Google Adsense Heat Map and try to improve your Adsense ad placement and visibility. Also, use affiliates from top travel sites from India like yatra.com etc. This will help you to monetize your site more. Your site will have more visits to internal pages than home page. Optimize them for Adsense placement too..

I would be interested to know how exactly you organized your internal structure. This is something that still confuses me a bit. What is the optimal internal site structure?

that is really a great job.. in 5 months time, i would say that it's a great achievement..

 

More than the profit it's the satisfaction that you get. Also remember, profit comes automatically when your site gets popular. I started the thread a year back, and since then, my site has only gone up. On Alexa it is now at 67 K (I was at 2,43,487 on Alexa in Nov 2009) and google earnings are about 5 times of what it was in Nov last year. Besides, I now have a lot of local business owners asking for advertisement banners.

The only thing I have learned is keep working, keep adding your own content, keep thinking and design or add content for what your visitors may be looking for and not how google will see it. If you can keep your visitors happy, google will remain happy.

 

How is your site doing now? That sounds impressive - 2000 pages.

 

Not bad, very impressive stats, as always it takes time, adding unique content, and promotion via the social bookmarking sites helps a great deal

Congratulations and thanks for sharing your strategy. What impresses is the number of visitors, but what depress is your income from this avenue. I feel, the income should be much more than what you are getting.

Thanks to well wishes of everyone and a lot of hard work, my site is now placed 36,542 worldwide and 1910 in India according to Alexa!

Just wanted to tell you all keep working hard on your sites and it will yield results for sure...there's enough space available on internet for everyone to make their mark.
