first make posts/threads yourself. Make a few usernames and make sure every forum is filled with content. you may hire a forum posting service for this if you want to spend money on it :)

then attract more visitors and prey they will join :)

It would be better to hire freelancers to do that job, you'll get many willing to post 500 posts from 50 usernames for a mere $20 :)

i'd go and recruit a real group of members who have a real interest in the topics - that way, these guys will form the core group of members and your forum will take off...

the problem is recruiting these guys... i guess the easiest way is to pay them for their commitment in the forum...

problem is at startup stage, there's not much revenue and it may not be attractive enough for members...

    My suggestions are:
    1. How about revenue sharing &
    2. Paying for posters

To a new forum, this would be the easiest method. Be carefull on how you choose your paid posters. Many will post for as little as .02 per post while others want a quarter or more.
