Hello everyone. Let me get right to the point: I am a young internet marketer (have been in IM for over a year now) and have goal I plan to fulfill. My goal is the I can make $500 in some way online (other than selling on eBay) and do it by 2012. I posted something like this on Warrior Form but a lot of the comments were people saying I was stupid and before I got to tell them that I was going to prove them wrong, the forum got closed. So I want your input too. I plan to make this $500 by making and selling 3 ebooks for either $5 each or in one big pack for $15. This is the part where most people doubted me: I plan to make them about 2,000 words each but with Master Resale Rights. Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot of ebooks out there that you can buy for $5 that are 60 pages and over 10,000 words. The problem with those is most of it is hype and you never really get to find the tips in it because there is too much of the "you can do it" and "there is nothing to lose". With my ebooks I will go right to the point, explaining what exactly it is and then going right into the direction. Then at the end, the conclusion might have some remarks like "if you put your mind to something, you can do it in record time" but nothing long and boring. I love to write and all my writing is happy and if one bit is boring when I go back to read it, I simply make it more interesting. My plan for the topics is to have at least 2 of them on Fiverr. I guess I will have to do the third one somewhat related to Fiverr if I put them all in one pack. I am using this topic because I just started a Fiverr clone called Micro Jobs Online and if they are on fiverr, I can put my link in them, make the sales page on one of my site's blog pages, and put a link to the sales page from the main page of my fiverr clone. No ebook pack is worth it unless there are freebies in it! This is very easy for me because I already have some ebooks about fiverr with Master Resale Rights that I can give away. I could also include as freebies some plr articles but that's just a random idea. so how do you like my idea? Do you think it will get me $500? I do know how to market it correctly. Here is a list off of the top of my head of how I am going to market the ebooks: -social networking sites -forums -my fiverr clone -my email list (which I will need to build quickly) -free traffic sites like easyhits4u and youlikehits -commenting through comment kahuna (is a life saver) -clickbank affiliates (need help finding clickbank affiliates since I haven't done this before) -will sell each separately on fiverr and other fiverr clones than mine (for $5 but without the bonuses) -write an article explaining the ebook pack on my blog -make a notification popup on my fiverr clone's social media bar -ask my friends that own fiverr clones as well if I can put an ad up on their sites for just one week (they are really nice and would do this for me any day and I would do it for them any day) Honestly, I didn't want to use Clickbank in the first place but it seems like I might have to. Do you think I should use Clickbank and sell the packk for $15 but offer a 35% commission to affiliates? But that only leaves me with $9.75 and then there is a clickbank and paypal fee. I think it would be best to let clickbank sit out on this one and let me just deal with the paypal fee instead of paypal, clickbank, and affiliate fees.
I don't know who was that man who said you won't be successful. I think that man did not had any clue what you were talking about. From all your description here, I can tell your planning is near perfect. And if you could implement the same , you will make lot more than $500 by 2012. But for that you have to do atleast 75% what you have stated here. With these planning you can't fail really. Also I should suggest you list your ebooks on this forum as well. You will surely get some sells. Start the work right now, and after reaching your goal; go to Warrior and post your success story. (I am more than 100% sure , you will be successful.) Best of luck.
Thanks for the support millbey! There were actually a few people that called stupid. One woman even called me a troll! I was astonished because that same woman was also criticizing me for starting a fiverr clone when she is the senior editor of a fiverr based company. Oh people. I will post my ebooks here, on warrior forum, and every other internet marketing forum. Oh and I decided that i will definitely NOt use clickbank.
Honestly - I will try d be positive here - and also a litle negative i'm afraid. Your plan is quite broad and there's alot of competition on all your ideas. Forum markting is the quickest and easiest method you've outlined but I wouldn't count n making $500 from it. - maybe $100-150 wth a good sales text etc. CLICKBANK is god but slow and you'd need to sell at a higher price and offer hgher commissions. if it was $15 - you'd have to give at least 66% comission to attract any marketers. Seling your book on Fiverr is very unlikely to get you any sales as theexposure isnt that good and the market is very crowded. your blog is good if its getting lots of traffic otherwise fairly pointless as is an email lst unless you havebuying customers. your othe ideas are great though and i'd be interested to knw how these pan out for you!
Internet marketing is not as easy as it seems. $500 is a pretty unrealistic amount to expect in such a short time. You can still earn that money though but not from internet marketing. Maybe you can try offering services such as writing articles. You can charge $15 each article, depends on how long they want it to. You can work on up to $500 then.
I am not sure if I am missing something here, he says he wants to make $500 by the end of next year from three eBooks worth $5 each. Why is this unrealistic? Average folks are making this from eBooks in a month. The key is to put together an eBook that solves a problem in a hungry market. His most important job is to find that market, articulate a viable solution and there should be no reason why he can't use the standard marketing outlets to reach the target market. The caveat is that you find that hungry market with a strong emotional need, and provide them with the solution. You don't need to limit yourself to eBooks, think of the best medium to solved the problem in your target market.
