    My suggestions would be

    1. Put in a colorful header rather than simple text
    2. Remove twitter updates
    3. Put some reviews section
    4. Modify the 125x125 ad block text as 'Put Your Ad Here' and direct it to your traffic stats.

    I agree with everything TeamNirvana says but you also need to populate the blog more with content. Not sure if you plan to and right now you're just trying to fix the look but make sure you populate it with more content before you start sending people to it.

    The big issue wich is considered at first view is the simple header. Try to change it to an amazing one.
